The Importance of Being Earnest About Your Dreams

We all have a list of things we want to accomplish, or change, or get.

But, what are you doing about it?

Pondering, frustration, wishing, only keep you stuck and feeling defeated.

Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start.

Remember this: Your dreams, visions, and desires are Guidance from your Soul, your Higher Self, to fulfill your potential and experience what you came here for. Desires, dreams, and visions are glimpses of the life you planned before you came here.

Your desire is your Higher Self urging you to take action.

You have the power and ability to change everything.

Affirmations, visualizing, and prayers only work in tandem with action.

Truly it’s easy to start taking action.

Your first action step is to begin a daily practice of meditation. Quieting the ego mind, and inviting in your Higher Self so you can hear it is so very important to any progress.

The ego voice will only keep you stuck on the loop of defeatist thinking.

You can wait for Divine Inspiration to strike like lightening bolt, but you may wait forever.

And, if it did, would you act on it?

Or, tell yourself you can’t. You don’t have time, or you’re too afraid. All are ego excuses.

Comfort zone = Dead zone

Often for the things we want we have to reach out of our comfort zone, and that can be scary.

But, what’s the alternative? Living a life you’re not fulfilled by, unhappiness, and wishing, wishing, wishing…

Make a commitment to yourself, your Soul, your life-force, to ASK, LISTEN, ACT.

Sit in meditation everyday – even if it’s only 10 minutes to start. You can use this prayer if you like, to begin. Ask for Guidance on your next step. Listen to that quiet voice within. Act on it! Even if it doesn’t make sense, or seem relevant. Your Higher Self knows the big picture.

Take a step toward your goal every day. The time will pass anyway, why not be that much closer?

“Avoid regret by never yielding to complacency.” ~ Phil Stutz

What if flowers were too scared to bloom? Shakespeare too self-doubtful to share his writing? Van Gogh too heart-broken to paint? Van Morrison too shy to sing in front of people? What if peacocks wanted to keep their beauty to themselves? This world would be bland, bland, bland indeed. What are you keeping to yourself that other people need, would enjoy, and would fulfill YOU to share? Hmmm?

Can you imagine what the world would be like if everyone was living their dream, fulfilling their purpose, and happy with themselves?

I can. It’s Paradise.

Now go do it!
